I love travel. You know I do. It is why this blog exists and what keeps me motivated on those dark winter days in the UK.  When I set up Wander Mum, I wanted to show that it was still possible to travel with a little one in tow and help inspire other families to do the same. Yes, there can be obstacles but sharing my passion with my little girl is very important to me and she thrives on travelling – as I recently detailed here. In my opinion, there is no better way for children to learn about the world and I know I am not alone in this thinking. So you can imagine my excitement when I heard about a brand new exhibition – dedicated to family travel – opening in London. With some of the biggest names in the business, the Family Travel Show will be THE place to get inspiration for your holiday – whatever you want. I am very excited to be going to this event and I am even more excited to announce that I have FIVE pairs of tickets to giveaway – so you can be there too!
Taking place at London’s Olympia on the 31st October and 1st November, The Family Travel Show has a pretty exhaustive list of travel operators and experts in family travel – all under one roof – covering everything from luxury getaways and cruises to ski holidays and wildlife safaris as well as showcasing some of the latest family travel gadgets. So no shortage of inspiration while there will be special discounts for attendees available on the day.
Packed with children’s activities, it looks like it will be a day out for all the family with a children’s zone and interactive features. I like the sound of the Explorers Corner which will have maps, guide books and globes, so my daughter and I can get excited about planning our trip together!
There is also a crèche to drop off the little ones so you can explore the exhibition and perhaps listen to the talks being given by celebrity speakers, travel writers and bloggers. There is even a young travel photographers competition.
To win tickets to this inaugural exhibition, just enter below. I have FIVE pairs of tickets to give away – worth £32 for each pair. The tickets will be valid for one of the days – you choose which day you can attend. Under 16s go free. The competition has now finished. Well done to the winners!
The Family Travel Show takes place in London’s Olympia on 31st October – 1st November. Tickets cost £8 in advance or £12 on the door with under 16s going free.  For full details check out the website www.familytravelshow.com.
If only I was in London then – I saw this advertised a few months back and thought what an amazing experience! I’ll share for you as this would be a great little freebie x

I love that it makes ME feel young again, every time my son discovers something new. Last year in Sri Lanka we saw fireflies for the first time!

I know what you mean! It brings so much enjoyment to the whole family – seeing them find new things, discover and explore. I’m off to Sri Lanka next year so will have to look out for the fireflies – getting excited just thinking about it. x
