Another week, another country. Last Tuesday we were in Italy with a large group of friends and for this week’s City Tripping I am in France! It’s just the four of us again though. The group trip was brill (and seemed to go without a hitch despite there being 36 of us) but it is good to have some time with the family. With all her friends there (and a swimming pool), Mrs T didn’t have much time for us so enjoying time with her and the little one who is getting far more alert and smiley!
We’ve been exploring beautiful Provence and it’s quaint towns and villages which can’t fail to charm. One such place is Roussillon, a town characterised by its red cliffs and ochre quarries. Here’s Mrs T enjoying an ice cream against a backdrop of the ochre town.
The trip had been going so well but just moments after taking this photo disaster struck. I dropped my phone. Not from a great height BUT the fall smashed the front of my phone on the gravel floor. The right hand side of my phone is now unusable. I am feeling rather lost *sad face*. My Instagram feed has certainly taken a hit. As a result, if I am slow sharing and replying to tweets and comments… you know why!
Hope you have been having a great week. City Tripping is over with Cathy this week. Here are our top picks from the last edition. Have a read if you haven’t already.

What Is City Tripping?
City Tripping is the place to come and link up your city-related travel posts. We want to find out the best of things to do and see in the city, any city in the world, whether you are travelling as a family, a couple or with friends or it’s your home turf. It could be a day out, a review of an attraction, long weekend or sharing your best insider info and hidden gems – as long as it is city-related travel.
How To Join In
– Link up one post – old or new. This week it is over with Cathy at MummyTravels
– Please add the City Tripping badge to the bottom of the post or link back to either Mummytravels.com or Wan
– Posts must be about your travel experiences in a city – any city, from reviews of days out to longer breaks.
– Please share the linky love and comment on the two hosts’ linked posts and at least two others which take your fancy, using #citytripping so everyone knows where you’re visiting from
– Tweet us your links @wander_mum and @
– We’ll be sharing your posts elsewhere on social media – we’d love it if you wanted to follow us there too: Wander Mum (Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram
– The City Tripping linky will go live every Tuesday morning until 23.55pm on Thursday and will alternate between MummyTravels and myself. We’ll be sharing our favourites every week too.

Thanks Kathy, and thank you for linking up – great to have you. Been having a fabulous time in France…gutted about the phone but it Can be replaced. x
I really want to visit France in the summer! I was there in Fall which was also nice but I imagine it’s beautiful in the sunshine summer months.

It’s really beautiful in summer…so green with lots of flowers filling the air with delicious scents.
Gotta love Europe – able to jump from culture to culture from one week to the next! 🙂
I know, it’s so great to be able to hop from one country to the next with relative ease.
The location looks amazing – one of my favourite parts of the country. But nooooooo to the broken phone, I’d be desperate (and probably having Instagram withdrawal)

Thanks…it’s been ordered so not much longer!
Provence is gorgeous, we used to spend all our summer holidays in France when I was growing up so that shot of Mrs T with the ice cream brings back fond memories! Glad you’re enjoying the (slightly) slower pace – helped by the enforced technology fast I’m sure!

It’s so beautiful, Rachel. We had a fantastic time and are seriously considering upping sticks and moving there!
I’m sorry about your phone. 🙁 Hopefully it isn’t too expensive to fix. I hate when things like that happen while traveling. (Broke a camera lens once. That was miserable!)
I went to visit Roussillon during my first trip to Europe at the encouragement of friends. It’s not actually a well-known place to visit in the US. I mean you hear about big cities but nothing like that. But wow the ochre quarries were fabulous! So beautiful! I look forward to seeing more of your pictures from here! (The one in this post isn’t working for me?)

It’s amazing, isn’t it! Glad to hear someone else has seen its beauty. Post coming soon. Such a beautiful town to wander through and then we saw the surrounding area…a big ‘WOW’ moment.
